Terms & Conditions
By booking a photography session with Csenge Székely ("the Photographer"), the Client confirms that they have read and accepted these Terms & Conditions.
For family celebrations, events, artists, brands and commercial projects, a separate project agreement may also be provided. In the event of any conflict, the project agreement shall take precedence.
1Booking & Payment
A booking becomes confirmed once:
the Client has accepted the quotation or booking in writing; and
the agreed booking fee has been paid.
For portrait and couple sessions, the booking fee is €60 unless otherwise agreed.
For events, artists, brands and commercial projects, the booking fee is agreed individually.
The booking fee secures the agreed date and covers scheduling and administrative work. It is therefore non-refundable, except where the Photographer cancels the booking.
The booking fee will be deducted from the final invoice.
Invoices are sent electronically with a payment term of 14 days, unless otherwise agreed.
Final images will be delivered once full payment has been received.
Rescheduling & Cancellation
A session may be rescheduled once at no additional cost due to illness.
The Client may also request one rescheduling without additional charge if notice is given at least 24 hours before the scheduled session and a mutually suitable alternative date can be agreed.
If the Client cancels the booking:
more than 7 days before the session: the booking fee is retained;
7 days or less before the session: 50% of the agreed session fee is payable;
less than 48 hours before the session: 100% of the agreed session fee is payable.
If the Photographer must cancel due to illness or another unforeseen circumstance, the Client will be offered a new date or a full refund of any payments made.
For destination sessions requiring travel or accommodation, any non-refundable travel expenses already incurred may be charged to the Client unless otherwise agreed in writing.
Image Selection & Delivery
Where applicable, an online proof gallery will be provided for image selection.
Proof images are intended solely for selecting final photographs and may not be downloaded, copied, shared or published in any form, including screenshots.
Image selections must be completed within 14 days of receiving the gallery.
If no selections are made within this period and no extension has been agreed, the Photographer reserves the right to select the photographs included in the purchased package.
Final photographs are delivered through an online gallery.
Typical delivery times are:
Portrait & Couple Sessions: approximately 2–3 weeks
Events & Commercial Projects: as agreed for each project
Delivery times may occasionally vary due to workload or unforeseen circumstances. The Photographer will inform the Client if significant delays occur.
Editing
The Client will receive professionally edited photographs reflecting the Photographer's artistic style and creative vision.
RAW files, unedited images and original camera files are not delivered under any circumstances.
The Client may not apply filters, AI editing, significant alterations or substantial cropping to delivered photographs without the Photographer's written permission.
Film Photography
Film photography is available as an optional addition to selected sessions.
The Client understands that analogue photography is an inherently unpredictable medium. Despite the Photographer taking every reasonable precaution, technical issues beyond the Photographer's control—including camera malfunction, film defects, airport scanners, laboratory processing errors or damaged negatives—may occasionally occur.
While every effort is made to deliver all film photographs successfully, the Photographer cannot guarantee that every frame will be captured, developed or scanned successfully.
Should any technical failure affect the film photographs, this shall not constitute a breach of contract, provided the agreed digital photographs have been delivered.
Film photographs are professionally developed and scanned before delivery.
Copyright & Usage Rights
Copyright of all photographs remains exclusively with the Photographer in accordance with the Finnish Copyright Act.
Purchasing photographs does not transfer copyright ownership.
Private Clients receive a personal, non-commercial licence to use the delivered photographs for personal purposes, including printing and sharing on social media.
Commercial use, advertising, resale, publication by third parties or any other commercial exploitation requires the Photographer's prior written permission.
For artists, brands and commercial clients, usage rights are agreed separately for each project.
Crediting the Photographer when sharing photographs online is appreciated but not required.
Portfolio & Marketing
Unless otherwise agreed, the Photographer reserves the right to use delivered photographs for portfolio purposes, exhibitions, competitions, social media, website content and other self-promotional marketing.
Clients who do not wish their photographs to be published must inform the Photographer before or during the session.
The Photographer will always respect the Client's privacy and reasonable wishes regarding publication.
Client Responsibilities
The Client is responsible for arriving on time and ensuring all participants are ready for the agreed session.
Delays caused by the Client may reduce the available photographing time.
The Photographer cannot be held responsible for missed photographs caused by late arrival, schedule changes or restrictions imposed by venues or organisers.
Data Storage
Delivered photographs will be stored by the Photographer for a minimum of six (6) months after delivery.
Clients are responsible for downloading and safely backing up their photographs.
The Photographer cannot guarantee permanent archiving after this period.
Liability
The Photographer will take every reasonable care in providing professional photographic services.
However, liability is limited to the amount paid by the Client for the affected photography session.
The Photographer shall not be liable for delays, cancellations or failure to perform caused by circumstances beyond reasonable control, including but not limited to severe weather, illness, transport disruption, venue restrictions, government regulations or other force majeure events.
Changes to these Terms
The Photographer reserves the right to update these Terms & Conditions.
Any amendments affecting an existing booking will always be agreed with the Client before taking effect.
Governing Law
These Terms & Conditions shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of Finland.
Any disputes arising from these Terms shall primarily be resolved through mutual negotiation. If no agreement can be reached, disputes shall be settled in the competent courts of Finland.
If you have any questions regarding these Terms & Conditions, please don't hesitate to get in touch. I'm always happy to clarify anything before your session.
