How to book a photoshoot?
Booking a photoshoot can feel complicated and stressful. Many people contact me for the first time a bit unsure of what kind of a session would be the best fit for them and if they need to have all the details figured out before they first contact me.
The answer is no.
You can always contact me, even if you only have a small thought or feeling about maybe wanting to be photographed. When contacting me, it is enough if you tell me just one of these things:
what kind of a session would you be interested in
when would you want the session to take place (either an approximate date or a fixed one)
what kind of vibe and emotion would you want your photos to reflect - you can describe it in words, with and example photo or even a song
or, that you have no idea where to even begin
With this information we can start to come up with ideas for the session and to think about the most suitable package for you. If you are booking me outside of Finland we will also discuss your personalized quote. We will also come up with the most suitable time and date for you, if you didn´t know that ahead of time. After this, if you didn´t already have specific ideas or plans, we will discuss for example:
Location
Emotion and visual style
Clothing
Your specific requests relating to the photos and session
You don´t need to come to the session “fully prepared”. You don´t have to know how to pose or what to do in front of the camera. I will guide you gently while also hyping you up throughout the session. The most important thing is that the session is relaxed, safe and you feel confident.
During the session the most important thing isn´t perfection (whatever that means). The most important thing is that for a moment you can just be and exist as yourself.
After your session, if your package includes a certain amount of photos delivered you get a link to a preselection gallery. In the preselection gallery you can choose photos free of charge based on the number of photos included in your package. Additional favorites you can choose for the extra price we will previously agree upon in case you are booking me outside of Finland. (In Finland, additional photos have their price shown on the Sessions page). After you have chosen your favorites it is my turn to edit the photos.
If you have chosen a package that includes the full gallery I will get to work right away editing your photos.
You get the edited photos through a link to an online gallery. The delivery time of the photos depends on the photoshoot, however, portraits and couples portraits usually have a delivery time of 2 to 3 weeks.
What I am trying to say here is, that the process overall is simple and shouldn´t be stressful. Sometimes the best photoshoots start with a simple message: “Hi! I´ve been thinking about wanting to do a photoshoot for a long time now!” <3
